Friday Favorites: Vintage bikes and adventure dates

July 13, 2012

Wow, Friday has gotten here so quickly. It’s been a busy yet
productive workweek. I apologize I haven’t been able to blog much. Next week
you’ll be getting the next installment of “How to Buy a House” where I talk
about our search process and wish list. I’m looking forward to a fun weekend
and look forward to blogging my heart our next week.
Friday Favorites:
Vintage Bikes: I purchased my vintage Schwinn Breeze a few months
back. I’ve been working on restoring it to its former beauty. I’ve gone on a
few bike rides, which have been beyond wonderful. I imagine I look like these super cute models seen here.
Adventure Dates: Billy and I are headed to Vashon Island
tomorrow for an adventure date. We plan on hitting some farm fruit stands,
farmer’s markets, a u-pick lavender farm and lunching at a great farm to table
restaurant I’ve read a lot of great reviews of. Can’t way to share with you
next week!
Minor League Baseball Games: Tonight we’ll be hitting up a
Tacoma Rainiers Game. There are numerous reasons why minor league games are
better than major league games. 1. I can walk to them 2. Cheap beer, cheap food
3. Better access to soon-to-be baseball stars.  4. If they lose it’s not such a disappointment.

What are your weekend plans?

I'd rather find a vintage / used bike too, than take my "new" mountain one (had it for 12 years now) to repair shop.. It has a flat back tire (bike has gears so I can't repair it myself apparently) and missing the leg-thingy, which I can't repair in any way 😀 We'll see which would get cheaper too, getting another bike (cute vintage) or repairing this ugly piece I have hehe 🙂

HELLO

Decor and home with a little bit of daydreaming and real life sprinked in. My husband and I are slowly updating our 1900 Dutch Colonial. I love hunting for vintage and flying the pacific northwest and the world with my aviator husband.
