30 before 30 Update

October 16, 2012

I turn 25 this week so it’s a perfect time to revisit my 30 before 30 list! I realized the other
day that I’ve checked off a couple big things. I’ve bought a home, started
saving for retirement and will soon check off number 3! I’ve got a long
ways to go on a few of them – paying off school loans is daunting and saving up
enough for Europe will take a while but I as long I keep reminding myself that
those things are what I want to do, I will find a way.
  1. Fly back to Boston and visit my favorite places ( hmmm maybe
    honeymoon? )
  2. Buy a home  CHECK
  3. Get married ( oh hey almost there )
  4. Travel to Europe (Before 30 and definitely before
    any kiddos )
  5. Sew a piece of clothing I WANT to wear
  6. Go on a clothes diet
  7. Lose 20 pounds (helllllo bridal bootcamp)
  8. Throw a legit dinner party
  9. Open an etsy shop
  10. Have a super blog-feature-worthy birthday party
  11. Wean myself off of disposable grocery bags
  12. Pay off student loans
  13. Take a small vacation with girlfriends
  14. Learn to really appreciate wine
  15. Start saving for retirement  Hello 401 K
  16. Set up a cute, efficient, organized crafting area
  17. Start a binder of my favorite recipes
  18. Grow my blog subscriptions to more than 400
  19. Live in the city (not going to happen)
  20. Cook dinner at least twice a week (pre-packaged does not
    count)
  21. Make tons of freezer meals
  22. Create a super organized filing system
  23. Take one creative class and learn something new every year
  24. Take a cooking class
  25. Become a runner or yogi-bear
  26. DIY/Renovate at least one room in my home
  27. Design and decorate my home
  28. Have (or make) a quilt of all my college and high school
t-shirts that I’ve been hanging on to.
  29. Donate to an animal shelter or charity
  30. Make Eco-friendly improvements to my home

HELLO

Decor and home with a little bit of daydreaming and real life sprinked in. My husband and I are slowly updating our 1900 Dutch Colonial. I love hunting for vintage and flying the pacific northwest and the world with my aviator husband.
