I’ve spent the last 15 years of my life searching for the secret to great skin, and I think I’ve finally landed on a winning routine. First off, I’ve never had horrible skin, but never perfect either. It wasn’t uncommon for me to have a blemish. I’ve tried out a lot of drugstore and department store products and the below is my latest routine, which I won’t be changing for awhile. Of course, the real secret is consistency, if you don’t use the products they won’t work!
1 and 2: I start off with hot water and Cetaphil. Cetaphil is wonderful, it is pretty inexpensive and it does nothing but cleanse No irritation, ever. I work it in with the Clarisonic, which feels like a mini facial. It buffs out old skin and gets deep into pores. It increases circulation and gives the skin a good glow.
3. I’ve been using Clinique Clarifying Lotion ever since I started washing my face. I’ve bounced around from the 1 to 2 to 3 and acne solutions one, in the end, the 2 was the best fit for me.
4. I use Clinique’s Lotion as more of a preventative maintenance, it hydrates and it keeps breakouts away.
5. I love Philosophy products and The Present is one I like to use daily. I don’t wear make up everyday, so this is great – it is quick to apply, goes on evenly and helps give my skin a more airbrushed appearance. The smell is the real deal sealer – it’s a light lavender herbal smell and makes you feel like you just left the spa.
